Swatipadam (Rare compositions of Swati Tirunal in their original tune)
Swatipadams are songs popular for lyrical beauty written by Swati Tirunal Rama Varma (1813 –1847) an erstwhile ruler of the princely state of Travancore. He was a great composer who made significant contributions to music and dance. Swati Tirunal gave Mohiniyattam, the classical female dance-tradition of Kerala a new dimension through specially written padams (lyrics), which later became popular as Swatipadams.
The Audio CD from Invis Multimedia features six rare Swatipadams recited by Dr. Deepti Omchery Bhalla and Geeta Rajendran in their original tune.
